Putting together stairs with Granite blocks.

After   creating a position for the stairs to fit into the dense grade,  we wet the  base  with water  ..this helps the base form a firm packed base for the stair ..to seat. 

  Dense grade being a mixture of stone dust and gravel.

Making sure the platform  has a slight  pitch,,  keeping the water flowing off the stairs and platform is most important in our region..  

Granite stairs were installed without lifting . They were rolled off a truck  using ramps and  wooden  pegs for rolling.
