                                               Dry Wells

Preparing to Install a Dry well  after  digging from downspout to drywell location ...

Next we will Install holding tank

The gutter is connected via flex piping , although occasionally hard pvc is used when heavy equipment or traffic is expected..

The tank is perforated,,,  Half  the tank is exposed in this  photo.  Geofabric will be wrapped around the container before backfilling with gravel..      A piece of fabric will be laid  across the top of the gravel to keep sediments from passing through to the tank.       Then backfill or  loam,  can be placed on top layer for growing grass or mild groundcover.

In comparison to the plastic tanks,  the tanks pictured in this upper photo is harder to work with. The cost of the cement  tank is higher ,,but where you have heavy  traffic, or  equipment  the choice would be to use cement.   For residential work the plastic tank is adequate ..
